Web Banners

These are my past works for web banners. Please click on the images to enlarge it.

This is for a blog that tells fictional stories based on the author's normal life. Since the blog title was "The Constant Trickle in Life's River", I used moss covered waterfalls as the background of the template to show trickling water; note the image on your left and with Zen-like calmness in the title, I created an Oriental feel for the banner in the font I used and also the Lotus flower which in Buddhism symbolizes purity of body, speech, and mind, floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire.

This is for this blog. The title for the blog tells it all. "Magical Working." So, it has to have a magical sort of background. What's more magical than having a soaring Pegasus into the twinkling lights of the bright Heavenly bodies in the sky?

Heaven Scent is blog that was started by my friend's friend to sell flowers during her University's convocation day. Since it was for people selling flowers, I created one with a single flower with scattered flower petals as the base; not too much to kill the words and also some loose ones at the side to give it a slight frame.

This was my very first web banner for my blog, Fairy Delle; now called Mystical Musings. Here, I used a Romantic approach because fairies are mystical beings and I am relating to William Shakespeare's play, A Mid-Summer Night's Dream. A story of Love and Romance not to mention the flower that causes one to fall in love when one awakes after the eyes have been dripped with it's juice.

This is based on my friend's friend's design. It was originally red and yellow but I just change the color scheme to something a bit lighter.

This design is similar to the one on the top except with added images to make it not too empty and too plain. Here, the color is bolder.

This is a Gothic themed banner that I made for htpp://cibol.wordpress.com. It's currently in use now by the blog owner. Black background coupled with a bloody looking rose to give it the Gothic look.

This one was made in honor of Malaysia's 50th Anniversary as a Country after being ruled by the Portuguese, Dutch, British and Japanese. It was made for my friend's blog. It was used until recently after the National Day month was over. The National Day month for Malaysia is on the 31st of August.

This banner is currently in blog. It's a Chelsea themed banner because the blog is about the matches Chelsea football team plays. Hence the song phrase, "From Stanford Bridge to Wimbley, we'll keep the Blues flag flying high" is used as the wording.

The two banners you see here, are for my own blog, Mystical Thoughts. The theme of the blog was blue.... A cool, refreshing kind of layout. Hence to maintain the fantasy like name, I came out with banners that has those qualities. The layout for the template was also sensual, so the second banner was used. The one below with the sensual girl with her hair floating in snow flaked waters...
